Ngorongoro Crater Vs Serengeti Vs Masai Mara: The Itinerary
Ngorongoro Crater Vs Serengeti Vs Masai Mara: This Itinerary – The combination of Kenya’s Masai Mara and Tanzania’s Serengeti guarantees a rewarding safari; when the Ngorongoro Crater is added, the experience becomes one of the most wildlife-rich in Africa. In the company of knowledgeable guides, you will participate in game drives, walks, and horseback excursions in search of the Big 5 and vast herds of migrating wildebeest, as well as their ever-present predators. Even if you visit outside of Migration season, the abundance of wildlife on this excursion ensures that you will still enjoy excellent game viewing at each destination.
This ten-day tour begins with the old-world appeal of a Tanzanian coffee plantation and a stately manor house perched on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, as part of a classic fly-in safari featuring exceptional accommodations. Then, you return to the comfort of tented safari camps in the Serengeti and Masai Mara, all of which are situated in ideal locations to capture the Wildebeest Migration at its most dramatic. In addition to a massage service, child care services for families, private dining, Wi-Fi Internet reception, and swimming pools, these accommodations offer a variety of additional amenities.

Day to day Itinerary: Ngorongoro Crater Vs Serengeti Vs Masai Mara
Day 1: Arrive at Arusha in Tanzania | 1 Night
Your tour begins with your arrival in the vibrant city of Arusha, followed by a short road transfer to the Arusha Coffee Lodge. Offering private cottage accommodations on a working coffee plantation and views of Mount Meru, this warm and inviting lodge is the perfect location to unwind after a long journey. There is a swimming pool, a spa, and Wi-Fi access; the cottages are spacious and include a lounge and a balcony with lovely vistas.
Days 2 – 3: A Ngorongoro Crater safari | 2 Nights
You Won’t Believe What Happened on our Tanzania Safari (Ngorongoro Crater)
The following morning, after breakfast, you will be transferred back to Arusha Airport for a quick flight to Manyara, where you will be met and driven to The Manor at Ngorongoro. The Manor is a grand country-style home with beautifully appointed suites, each with a lounge, en suite bathroom, outdoor deck, and both interior and outdoor fireplaces. It is situated in picturesque gardens on another lush coffee estate. Check in for two nights and plan your adventures – there is horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, cultural tours, and birdwatching to enjoy, but the most anticipated activity will be your 4X4 safari in the Ngorongoro Crater, home to some of Africa’s densest concentrations of large animals and a haven for predators and the Big 5. Back at The Manor, you dine in the main lodge or in the seclusion of your suite on delectable dishes.
Days 3 – 6: To the Serengeti | 3 Nights
This morning’s flight to Serengeti National Park and your lodging for the next three nights, Serengeti Migration Camp, is brief. This comfortable tented camp is tucked away in the hilly terrain of the northern Serengeti, close to the treacherous Grumeti River, where migrating wildebeest herds converge to cross back into Kenya. An exciting game-viewing destination throughout the year, the area is at its most dramatic during the Migration months, when tens of thousands of wildebeest battle crocodiles and large cats on their journey across the Grumeti. In addition to game drives, you can also enjoy guided nature treks and a hot-air balloon safari over the Serengeti savanna. Large tent suites with private restrooms and elevated viewing decks serve as accommodations.
Days 7 – 9: A riverside setting in the Masai Mara | 3 Nights
WILDLIFE SAFARI in KENYA, AFRICA (Maasai Mara)
Your trip to Kenya consists of a road transfer and a brief flight, but it won’t be long before you check into Sand River Masai Mara for three nights. This tented camp has a wonderful location on the Sand River and combines the indulgent comfort of the past with a modern philosophy of minimal environmental impact. As well-positioned for the Wildebeest Migration as your previous camp, Sand River Masai Mara offers balloon safaris in addition to game drives and walks, and guests will be ecstatic that at least one of their meals will be served in an exciting safari setting away from camp. The accommodations are elevated and feature river views; a private butler is available to ensure that everything operates smoothly. Sand River Masai Mara, which features a swimming pool, library, Wi-Fi access, and a laundry service, is located in a quieter section of the Masai Mara National Reserve and is ideal for travelers who want to experience the Mara without the Migration-season throngs.
Day 10: Farewell to East Africa
The final day of your safari begins with breakfast and a final glimpse at the Masai Mara plains, followed by a transfer to the local airstrip and a flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi. You will be greeted by a tour representative and transferred to Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward travel arrangements and the conclusion of this unforgettable journey.
