Detailed Itinerary: 4 Days Serengeti Flying Safari

Day 1: Start of your Safari from Arusha

We will transfer you from your Arusha hotel or the international airport to the domestic Arusha airport, where you must arrive 45 minutes to one hour prior to your flight. Board your 9:15 a.m. flight to Serengeti; flight duration is approximately one hour: The Driver-guide sent by the lodge will meet you at the aerodrome upon your arrival in Serengeti and transport you to your overnight lodge. The safari vehicle will be a four-wheel-drive vehicle, such as a Land Cruiser or Land Rover. Your overnight accommodation is a renowned property with breathtaking views of Serengeti National Park. In the event that the flight arrives in the morning, proceed to lunch and then appreciate leisure time at the lodge. Late in the afternoon, around 3.30 p.m., you will embark on your first safari game drive, during which you will explore the outlying areas of Serengeti and view its incredible wildlife. (The safari vehicle may transport other guests from the lodge).

Return to the lodge by evening (typically 6 to 6.30 pm) in time for dinner.

Day 2: Enjoy Full day in Serengeti

You will be taken on two game excursions today, the first from 6.15 a.m. to 9 a.m. before breakfast, and the second from 3.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. after lunch. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered to be the ideal times to observe active animals. Return to the lodge for supper and overnight accommodations in the evening.

Day 3: Enjoy Full day in Serengeti

Full day in Serengeti. Enjoy a morning game excursion prior to breakfast. At this time of day, most animals are active, so you are likely to see a great deal of game. Come back to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast. You may schedule a visit to a nearby Maasai Village with the Lodge Manager. This one-hour visit offers an intriguing glimpse into the daily lives of the famous Tanzanian tribe, the nomadic Maasai. You also get to see their distinctive mud cottages, known as Manyatta huts. [Additional activities, such as a visit to a Maasai village, are available for a fee].

Return to the lodge for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon safari into the park. Return to the lodge by evening [ typically 6 to 6.30pm] in time for a relaxed evening , followed by dinner.

Day 4: Return to Arusha

Today, you say goodbye to Serengeti. Following a leisurely breakfast and check-out, you will be transferred to the nearby aerodrome for your 10.30 a.m. flight back to Arusha. When you arrive in Arusha, our driver-guide will be waiting for you at the airport to convey you to your hotel or the international airport.
