Detailed Itinerary: The Great Serengeti Migration Safari
Day 1: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
You will begin your transfer to the Serengeti as soon as you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport or after breakfast at your lodge or hotel in Arusha. The oldest national park in Serengeti National Park, which is also a World Heritage Site. The big migration of the wildebeest takes place here in the months of May, June, July, October, November, and December. The park is also well-known for the lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, birds, and tens of thousands of Thomson’s gazelles that live there. You’ll get there in plenty of time to settle into your lodge and go on a night game drive.
Day 2: Full-day Game drive in the Serengeti

One of the highlights of your Serengeti Migration Safari, today’s full-day game drive will allow you to see the Serengeti in all of its splendor. Your journey will begin after a hearty breakfast. Watch out for various mammals, such as zebras, elephants, and antelopes, as well as the Big Five species, which include an elephant, a rhinoceros, a buffalo, a lion, and a leopard. Retire to your lodge for a nice dinner and an overnight stay later in the evening.
Day 3: Morning breakfast and Transfer to Arusha
You may wake up at your convenience after breakfast, depending on your flight itinerary, before making the transfer back to Arusha to catch your departing aircraft. After lunch when you arrive in Arusha, your guide will take you to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your flight home.
