Day 7: Hemingway’s Resort (Malindi)
After breakfast, travel to Mombasa. To get to Watamu airfield and connect with an aircraft to Hemingway’s retreat in time for lunch, head toward Malindi. Armando Tanzini and Charles Tyler created handcrafted pieces for the rooms, which have been individually outfitted to the highest standard with original paintings by Lisa Dickinson. The living and bedroom areas at Hemingway’s will slightly deviate from tradition by having dark hardwood flooring installed in place of ceramic tile, giving the spaces even more character. Satellite TV will be available in both suites. Tiles, marbles, and fittings have all been imported and completed to the greatest standards, much like when we renovated all of our bathrooms. But in Green Hills and Key West, we took things a step further by adding “His & Hers” basins, “Step” in corner bathrooms, bidets, and an oversized shower. A kitchenette/service area, guest cloakroom, and shower have been added for guests who want to host events in their rooms. The opportunity to use a superior room next door with connecting doors to accommodate a family or children is another amenity.
Dinner and overnight at Hemingway’s Resort.
Day 8 – 9: Hemingway’s Resort
Hemingways Resort | Holiday destination
Enjoy a day of relaxation on the spotless beach. You can go snorkeling, windsurfing, creek fishing, or take a boat ride to see the beaches here.
