Day #1: Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park, have an evening boat cruise, and hike to the top of the falls.
African Safari in Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda
From your place of residence or hotel in Kampala-Uganda’s capital, your driver-guide will pick you up early in the morning for the start of the safari to Murchison Falls National Park. The drive takes about 4-5 hours arriving in the afternoon in time for lunch.
After lunch, you take a boat cruise to the bottom of the mighty Murchison Falls as you witness how about 300-400 cubic meters of water squeeze through a 7 meter gorge each second. Hippos and other aquatic species can be seen on the river banks. From the bottom of the spectacular falls, you hike for about 45 min – to 1 hour to the top of the falls. This is a great opportunity for great photography and sightseeing. At the top, you meet your driver-guide for a transfer to a booked accommodation facility for relaxation, dinner, and spending the night.

Day 2: Morning Game drive and transfer back to Kampala

Following an early breakfast in your lodging choice, you transfer to the park trails in search of wildlife with your guide. Taking any of the tracks in the park either the Delta track, Buligi peninsula, or any other, you have a chance to see several wildlife species. Possible wildlife seen on Uganda wildlife safaris to Murchison Falls National Park include Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Buffaloes, Ugandan Kobs, Giraffes, primates especially the baboons, and many more. Several bird species can also be spotted. After the game drive, you are driven out of the park for a drive back to Kampala. The transfer from Murchison Falls to Kampala will include a lunch break most probably in Masindi then arriving in Kampala in the evening. Your driver guide drops you off at your place of residence.
