You should be aware of these things in order to remain safe in Kenya.

Traveler’s Kenya Safari Experiences

Trip of a lifetime

Feb 2021 • Couples

I took a 4 day 3 night safari to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru in February 2021 and had an AMAZING time. Peter was nothing but professional and trustworthy. I couldn’t have had a better experience on our safari. Our guide’s name was Edward and he was outstanding. Edward knew ALL of the animals and was a pleasure to be around and is now a new friend. I feel lucky that we were able to have Edward as our guide. We saw ALL of the big five several times. The hotel accommodations and food that we had was also outstanding. The safari vehicle was very big and powerful. This was a trip of a lifetime. I did all of my research and chose this particular company based on the reviews and the good things people said about Peter and boy were they right. Do not choose another company, this is the best. Our guide Edward was such a pleasure and made our experience that much more valuable. I saw so many animals it was like being in a movie. I am so happy that I chose this company and wouldn’t recommend anyone else. Peter and Edward are amazing people. I have not one criticism of anything on this safari. There is not one thing that could’ve been better. The trip was 10 out of 10, just wonderful. You can’t go wrong with this safari, I am forever thankful

WILDLIFE SAFARI in KENYA, AFRICA

Kenya Vs Tanzania: Which Is Best? Travel Experts Decide

For most people going on their first safari in Africa, the decision comes down to two options: Kenya or Tanzania.

Choosing between Kenya and Tanzania as your safari base can be challenging if you’ve never been to either country. Both offer expansive open savannas teeming with incredible animals and accommodations to suit all tastes and budgets.

I won’t even begin to mention the non-safari attractions! Seeing animals isn’t the only thing you can do in any country. Travelers’ paradises, Kenya and Tanzania both offer picture-perfect beaches, blue waters, fascinating cultures, breathtaking scenery, and mountains to conquer. Which one should you pick?

My travels have taken me to Tanzania and Kenya. The first vacation I took was a month-long excursion to Tanzania. Before going on a safari in Tanzania, I climbed Kilimanjaro and chilled out in Zanzibar for five days. I would strongly suggest a vacation to Tanzania because I enjoyed it immensely.

National Parks In Kenya That Are A Must Visit

There is no way to separate Kenya and its national parks. A total of four marine national parks and an astounding twenty-three of them are located there. There is an abundance of protected areas in Kenya, including reserves, marine parks, privately held conservancies, and the iconic sight of thousands of wildebeest crossing the Mara River during their migration. Hell’s Gate National Park, for example, features hot geysers.

The Big Five—rhino, buffalo, elephants, leopards, and lions—are often the targets of safarigoers’ dogged pursuits in Kenya. The name comes from the fact that these were the most dangerous species for colonial-era hunters to hunt on foot. However, just because a national park doesn’t have all of these animals doesn’t mean you shouldn’t visit. You’ll still see lots of interesting things.

There is more to Kenya’s national parks than just wildlife; no matter which park you visit, you’ll be treated to breathtaking landscapes, geothermal springs, a variety of colorful birds, and the indigenous people who live in and around these locations. The top twelve national parks in Kenya are listed here.

Kenya Factbook

Kenya, an economic powerhouse on the eastern coast of Africa, has direct ties to prehistoric people and lies on the equator. Paleontologists in the East African Rift Valley have uncovered artifacts that date back to the earliest days of humankind.

Ethnic variety in modern-day Kenya has fostered cultural vitality while simultaneously fueling political unrest. After the Mau Mau insurrection in the 1950s, Kenya, a former British colony, obtained its independence.

The insurgency’s dubious legacy for independent Kenya stems from its disputed roots and its behavior. Victims of mistreatment by colonial forces fighting the uprising were compensated in 2013 by the British government.

Two high-profile and mass-casualty assaults in Nairobi occurred in 2013 and 2019, respectively, at the Westgate shopping mall and the DusitD2 complex. The jihadist outfit Al-Shabab is based in neighboring Somalia. The attacks primarily occurred in the north-east of Kenya.

Issues such as poverty, violence, and high unemployment rate are also essential. Millions of people are often threatened by droughts.
